Created from a fused glass lime green and transparent blue button, and copper wire, this ring is funky & fun to wear. The glass button is approximately 3/4 inch in diameter, and about 5mm thick. Fun and quirky button rings are inexpensive, and you can have many different ones to match all your fun outfits. I made this one, by watching and practicing a tutorial that I found on youtube.com. It took 3 tries in creating one before I felt comfortable photographing the results. Now I have a new found reason to play with my glass again, and postpone housekeeping for another day. Once I'm comfortable with the wire and results, I'll begin using sterling silver wire and adding the rings to my Etsy Store.
I've made soldered jewelry, ornaments, and frames, but had this idea to make a Wine Bottle or Liquor Bottle personalized Tag. After printing out the monogram, and added decorative paper on the backside, sandwiching between glass and soldering around, I then soldered jump rings across the bottom, and added swarovski crystal dangles. It think it turned out quite interesting. These make great hostess, wedding, and birthday gifts. I have all sorts of ideas floating around in my head for these to give as Christmas gifts.
Well, its Tuesday and I woke up to the rain hitting the old tin roof around 5 am. It is such a relaxing sound, I drifted back off to sleep for another couple of hours. I wanted to share this wonderful jadeite green glass bead. I LOVE the glass rods in this color. I usually make bluebirds, but this little guy turned out cute in green. The photograph isn't so great, not enough coffee this morning. He'll be made into a charm, with sterling silver wire and accent beads. I'll post the results when he is finished.
I have some more ideas to share and a new recipe for delicious Pumpkin Dip later today.
Here there, or anywhere you need to sew a cute button! Of course, they are handmade by me, with glass shank, full of whimsy! I used one on my cell phone case. More buttons will be listed soon. I love making lampwork beads, but I also love making lampwork buttons. These are so goofy and fun to do. I never know exactly how they are going to turn out, until I open the kiln. So please check out my Etsy Store at http://www.pumpkinmoonstudio.etsy.com/
I forgot to mention, that I have been working on simple doodles for people who are into scrapbooking. I incorporated a few of these into some of my bag tags that I sell on Ebay, under my Ebay Store Name - PUMPKINMOONSTUDIO
I'll offer these on cd-rom
Now it is time for me to begin getting orders filled!
Good morning! It's Monday, November 16, 2009, and my hubby's birthday. Sadly though, he is working in Lexington, KY this week, so cannot be with him. But we'll celebrate when he returns.
I've been doodling as always, and I love vintage bermuda bag purses, so thought Hmmmm, how can I make a lampwork bead that resembles a bermuda bag purse. So I drew a few doodles of the little purses in different colors. Now to try and manipulate the glass to see if I can make something that even remotely resembles one...LOL.
Here is one of my little 2 piece bears. He turned out good. He'll be offered as a pendant in my Etsy store, He has the cutest tush!
I hope you check it out, even though I've only got 1 thing listed. Just have to start taking photos and get them uploaded.I have lots of items to list, but takes time. Also, you can check out my personalized fun items on Ebay. My Ebay Seller name is Pumpkinmoonstudio also. I'll be selling my beads and quirky fun jewelry on Etsy, but and my personalized "stuff" will stay on Ebay.
My Etsy store is finally open, but only 1 item in it! Just had time to upload that one necklace, but now that I have my banner and avatar designed, and I'm pleased with it, I'll be adding new items along.
